Seagate’s GoFlex Satellite streaming hard drive gets a surprise Firmware update today 3.19.2012 releasing version 1.3.5.015, a 51MB file that makes quite a few changes. Mostly battery life (from five hours to seven), and it lifts the restriction on the number of devices that can connect to the drive at one time, and it provides a pass-through for internet access when connected to the drive. Even though the past reviews on this device were very mediocre I believe that this is an improvement that can help sell more units for people who on Tablets, WiFi TVs, smart phones, Ext. I might be one who looks into getting this myself, maybe if they make a 1TB version down the road because I own a lot of movies, music, & pictures, 500GBs would be full in seconds.
