Japan is getting another style of New 3DS XL based on one of Nintendo's classic consoles.
Nintendo revealed the unique model during the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct and posted a photo on Twitter. It's based on the Super Famicom, the Japanese basis for the classic Super Nintendo in the West.
Based on the picture, the 3DS comes with the expected monochrome color scheme, with blue, green, yellow, and red face buttons based on those of the Japanese system's controller. The back of the 3DS includes faux power, reset, and eject buttons, as well as the "Nintendo Super Famicom" logo.
Will this be hitting state side? And will you be getting one? I know I would.
