Amazon launched Prime Music, a new ad-free music service for Amazon Prime subscribers.Prime Music boasts over a million songs, from artists like Daft Punk, P!nk, The Lumineers, Bruce Springsteen, and Madonna, according to Amazon. The company also says it's adding new music all the time with the new service for Amazon Prime.
Along with no ads, Amazon says you can also download favorite songs for offline playback on mobile devices with Prime Music, which also lets people create their own playlists.
“... Today, we’re introducing Prime Music — more than a million songs from some of music’s best artists, plus hundreds of expert-programmed Prime Playlists, all at no additional cost," said Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. "Prime Music is the latest great addition for Prime members, and we think they’re going to love it.”
While Prime Music comes to Prime subscribers at no additional cost, Amazon did increase the price of a Prime subscription for the first time in nine years back in March — becoming $99 USD per year compared to $79.
