Nintendo announced Daemon X Machina, a new mech action game coming to Nintendo Switch, at the top of its E3 2018 Nintendo Direct conference today.
Daemon X Machina looks like a giant mech fighting game, with mechs called Arsenals punching, shooting and fighting each other out in the middle of a desert. Daemon X Machina gives off some serious dark Gundam vibes, as mech robots big and small fight one another with an assortment of weapons. And, naturally, these mechs can fly, so expect to partake in some nifty flight combat.
It’s an extremely colorful game, too. The mechs themselves appear in a variety of colors, as do their weapons, and the game’s background is filled with fiery explosions.
Kenichiro Tsukuda, a producer on the Armored Core series, will act as a producer on Daemon X Machina, which is being developed by Marvelous Games.
Daemon X Machina is slated to be released in 2019.
