E3 2015: Sony Announces Individual TV Channel Subscriptions

At Sony's E3 2015 press conference, Sony Computer Entertainment President and Group CEO Andrew House announced that PlayStation users will soon be able to subscribe to individual, unbundled TV stations via the company's PlayStation Vue streaming television service.

At launch, users will be able to subscribe to Showtime, Fox Soccer, and a new channel powered by Machinima. Sony's announcement follows HBO's decision to divorce HBO from TV cable subscriptions via HBO Now.

House also announced that Vue will soon be rolling out to San Francisco and Los Angeles.
