Microsoft has released a new trailer for Halo: Nightfall, which sets up the story for the live-action TV show.
A strange compound is killing humans — referred to as the holy grail for the Covenant in the trailer above — and Agent Jameson Locke (portrayed by actor Mike Colter) and his team go to destroy the deadly amalgam. The TV show will provide the backstory for Locke, who is slated to become a bigger — and playable — character in the Halo franchise.
Halo: Nightfall is set to bridge Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, and the complete series comes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
