The Reading Rainbow Kickstarter!

TAKE A LOOK IT'S NOT IN A BOOK!!

Reading Rainbow, the beloved children's program that explored and emphasized the importance of books, may come to consoles if the next Reading Rainbow Kickstarter stretch goal is met.
The Kickstarter, which aims to fund a Reading Rainbow app, reached its $1 million USD goal in its first day. Just two days after the Kickstarter launched, the project is on the path to reach $3 million USD in funding.

Television personality LeVar Burton, who owns the rights to both the show and the show's name, issued a statement via a project update that he wants to reach $5 million USD. If that goal is met, he plans to bring Reading Rainbow to more platforms, mentioning the Xbox and PlayStation.

Burton said that after reading comments and suggestions from backers, the Reading Rainbow team decided that the final product needs "to be accessible to more kids and families."
"We need to be on mobile devices," Burton said. "We also need to be on connected devices that can put Reading Rainbow back on the television," pointing to game consoles, as well as Apple TV and other set-top streaming devices. "When we reach $5 million, we'll be able to expand to all these platforms."

Burton promised that should the new $5 million USD stretch goal be reached, the team will announce other ambitious stretch goals.

This Story takes me back to my Reading Rainbow Days back in the late 80's, how about you?
