Fast 7 New Release Date Announced!

Actor Vin Diesel announced the new release date for the currently on-hiatus Fast & Furious 7 in a post to his Facebook page. The film was originally slated to open July 11, 2014, but production was put on indefinite hiatus last month following the death of star Paul Walker.

Diesel posted the photo of himself and Walker on the set of Fast 7 with the following message:

"The last scene we filmed together…
There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released…
April 10th 2015!
P.s. He'd want you to know first…"

Finally, THR confirms via inside sources that Walker will still appear in Fast 7. Director James Wan and writer Chris Morgan are working on ways to write Walker's character Brian O'Connor out of the film using existing footage.

The Daily Mail recently claimed Paul Walker's younger brother Cody, a stuntman, might double for him to get the scenes necessary to complete Brian's storyline. Paul's face could be added via CGI to his brother's body if and when needed.
