Mr. Mike here and trust me when I say this wait a few days like 3 or 4 before GTA Online is correctly working! I'm speaking about what could render one's save file useless if the online feature kicks you out before you can even start playing. Warning!! Don't say I told you so...
Rockstar has acknowledged the issues surrounding Grand Theft Auto Online's launch, and confirmed it's working to resolve them.
A page on the Rockstar Support site lists all the known problems and promises updates as and when they are each sorted.
Among the issues that the developer is looking into is an error
message saying cloud servers are unavailable, freezing on the first race
with a message saying "waiting for other players", a "failed to host"
message, problems with the first race marker not showing correctly,
matchmaking time out errors and general issues tied to the Social Club.
The entry concludes with the message, "We apologize for any
inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve
this."
Hopefully the problems won't take too long to resolve, but Rockstar
did warn that this would happen considering the intense interest in the
game.
