Earlier this week, Sony revealed an all-new model of PS Vita, one that aims to bring manufacturing costs down. It’s 20 percent thinner, 15 percent lighter, has better battery life, comes with modest internal storage, and replaces its OLED screen with an LCD screen.
This new model of PS Vita launches in Japan on October 10th for 18,980 Yen (or about $190), with Sony unsure of if and when it’ll launch in the west. And we finally have some comparison pictures taken in the wild in Japan to show off the differences between the two models.
Interestingly, the new Vita model, while thinner and lighter, actually seems to be wider than the old Vita.
Here’s another picture, posted by user benny_a, that shows a comparison between the two units while playing Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Again, the old Vita is on top; the new Vita is below.
IDK I'd rather have a nicer looking OLED screen with a 60GB of on board storage & TV out instead of this what do you think? & yes I know about PSVita TV!
