WHAT DOES THE SHIELD LOOK LIKE INSIDE?
The team at iFixit have once again
got their hands on another piece of technology and completely
disassembled the whole thing. This time, we get a look at what's going
on inside Nvidia's Tegra 4-based Shield.
And while it seems the device is plenty modular, be prepared to spend
some serious time with a set of tools if you need to replace one of
Shield's components.
The tear-down revealed few surprises, but it's still interesting to see
all of the components inside the Shield laid out. One strange
revelation, though: the silver piece atop the Shield is actually held on
with magnets. While there's no real indication as to why Nvidia would
make a piece of the case so easy to remove, maybe it's a protective
cover that can be replaced? You know, like a--shield?
