Transformers 4 Will Revolve Around New Robots
Hasbro CEO Shows a new logo, explains why there will be a new lineup.
Hasbro president and CEO Brian Goldner spoke about Transformers 4 at this week's UBS Best Of Americas 2012 Conference.
Bleeding Cool points out this article at TFW2005 that recounts the highlights of Goldner's presentation. The Hasbro honcho revealed a placeholder logo for Transformers 4
which is slated for release June 29, 2014.The real news from the conference is that Transformers 4 will revolve around a new cast of robot characters. And why's that? Because the toys for Transformers 3 didn't sell as well as Hasbro had hoped, with the company chalking it up to the fact that most of the same robot characters had appeared in all three Transformers movies. Freshen up the roster, create new toys, and hopefully sell more toys than last time.
The CEO's meaning is we don't care about the Transformers franchise just only what $$ money $$ we can suck from its life force!
If Michael Bay is making and directing this 4th installment reboot or not and with NEW characters that no one knows or ever will care about then it will fail! We as true Transformers fans want Optimus and the real Autobots vs. Decepticons, not some new thrown together crap that no one will ever relate to. What Hasbro and Bay should really do is simple make a prequel story that can span 2 or 3 movies of the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron and the start to the end of the great war! But that wont happen oh Hollywood wonder why no one is seeing your films because you fat catz fuck things up all the time in the film world thats why! George Lucas anyone LoL... Sorry for the language but thats not how the Transformers should live on like not at all.
