ZombiU Gameplay Revealed:
At Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference, Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime and Ubisoft President Yves Guillemot revealed the first gameplay from the company's new Mature-rated zombie-slaying first person shooter ZombiU.
A variety of unique uses for the Wii U tablet controller were demonstrated, including realtime access to inventory, scanning the environment and zooming in for sniper rifle headshots. The tablet controller's accelerometer will be used to break free from the grasp of the undead. Finally, players will use the touch pad to "hack" locked doors.
More amusingly, the tablet controller's camera can be used to "zombify" players in realtime, as demonstrated by Fils-Aime live on stage.
Details on the actual first-person shooting gameplay itself is scarce, but we did catch a glimpse of the most classic of zombie weapons: the shotgun. Nice!
"In this game, one bite and you're dead." Sounds hardcore!
