Evolve is now slated to come out February 10, 2015, a roughly four-month delay for the new shooter title from Turtle Rock Studios.

Take-Two Interactive announced the delay for Evolve in the company's first quarter 2015 earnings release. The multiplayer shooter was originally slated to come out October 21. 2K provided the following statement:

"As stated on the Take-Two Interactive earnings call, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios are extending the development  of Evolve by a few months to allow enough time to fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence. We are encouraged by the press reaction and fan excitement coming out of a very successful E3, and we are now certain we are headed in the right direction with the game and we are confident in delivering a genre-defining product when Evolve launches on February 10, 2015."

Evolve joins a growing list of big-name games to get bumped to 2015. Electronic Arts recently delayed Battlefield Hardline to next year, and Warner Bros. pushed Batman: Arkham Knight to 2015 back in June. In addition, Sony delayed The Order: 1886 right before E3, and CD Projekt Red shifted the release of The Witcher 3 to 2015 earlier this year as well.
